It was through the lenses of her parents and the atmosphere of Los Angeles, where Terri commenced her passion for entertainment, fashion, theater and all around “glamorous lifestyle.”

At the age of 15 Terri and her family relocated to Palo Alto, California. Determined not to let their passion for entertainment to decay, Terri’s family brought the high paced party lifestyle of Los Angles with them to Palo Alto.

Terri has embarked upon many notable educational endeavors. She attended Foothill College, receiving her Associates Degree in Marketing and Advertising. Terri also attended University of Phoenix, where she is continuing her education towards her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance & Marketing. Her professional resume’ is unmatched. Terri worked for Ford Aerospace/ Space Systems Loral for over 20 years. There she received notable recognition for her hard work and matriculated through the company. Terri also worked for Lockheed and Northrop Grumman Corporation in Palo Alto and Sunnyvale, CA.

Fueled with entrepreneurial ambition Terri and her mother co-founded: Forever Fashions. The company produced and executed various fashion and talent shows throughout the bay area 1982 to 1996. After the passing of her mother, Terri relocated to Tracy, California. Determined to keep the business afloat Terri rebranded her company with a name change to “Care Free Praise Events.” Care Free Praise events have advanced from small church events to major community events, dinners and fashion shows. After marrying the love of her life in 2006 Minister Earl Monroe, they began activism within local communities by producing Special Events, Health Fairs and Concerts to serve those in need in the community.

After relocating to Stockton, CA in 2014, Terri and her husband launched their event planning business in 2016 at the Hilton Hotel. It is Terri’s attention to detail and organizational skills that has landed her company to work with franchises like: JC Penny’s, Selix Formal Wear, The Men’s Wear House and Cassara Brothers. Care Free Praise Events have all been afforded to host events at the Hyatt Regency  Oakland, CA, Golden Gate Turf Club, St. John’s Baptist Church in Palo Alto, CA, University of the Pacific and a host of other prestigious venues and edifices.

One of Terri’s greatest accomplishments is serving alongside her husband at the Victory in Praise Church in Stockton, CA. There they have hosted and planned a variety of events such as Men Deep-Sea Fishing Trips, Women’s Ministry Retreats, Outdoor Fundraisers, Small Weddings and much more.

In October 2018, Terri and her husband Earl joined forces with the African American Chamber in Stockton, CA. Their mission was to help grow the chamber through luxurious and professional events such as Women of Color, Man About Town, Multicultural Festival and much more. The partnership increased notoriety and visibility for Care Free Praise Events making the company one of the leading event planning business in Northern-California.

With divine favor on their lives, in 2019 Terri Monroe was elected as Vice President of the African American Chamber and Minister Earl (Mitchie) Monroe serves as the Chaplain.
